The
Hernando County Cattlemen’s Association
is proud to present the Hernando County
Rodeo & BBQ Festival on October 10, 11,
& 12, 2008. This is the 32nd Annual
Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association
Sanctioned Rodeo. The event is held at
the
Hernando
County
Airport
in
Brooksville,
Florida.
The Cattlemen’s Association began the
Rodeo tradition in
Hernando
County
32 years ago, bringing to
Hernando
County
the only Nationally Sanctioned Event.
Over the years the Rodeo has continued
to grow. This year we will be having
three exciting performances.
Performances are scheduled for Friday at
8:00 p.m., Saturday at 8:00 p.m., and
Sunday at 2:00 p.m. We are one of the
first Rodeos to be held in the nation,
and top cowboys and cowgirls are on
tour, trying to reach the National
Finals Rodeo in
Las Vegas,
Nevada.
"It is all for the kids”,
A motto which the
Hernando
County
Rodeo & BBQ Festival always uses.
If it was not for the young folks of this
world, where would we all end up?
Proceeds from the Festival benefit the youth in Hernando County and the
Egypt Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund. We make direct contributions to
the FFA Organizations, along with scholarships and leadership programs to
benefit the youth in Agriculture. Contributions are made also to the
Hernando County Sheriff’s Explorers and the P.H.C.C. Law Enforcement
Academy. As well, contributions are made to the Breast Cancer Awareness
Foundation through the Tough
Enough To Wear Pink
endeavor.
